My
Story
Despite growing up a preacher’s daughter, I have often wondered why God was (or wasn’t!) allowing certain circumstances in my life. There have been plenty of times when I felt angry, grieved, confused and even abandoned by God. Yet through it all, I’ve seen His goodness and experienced His faithful, loving presence in the midst of pain and problems. I’ve also come to realize how vital it is to have the support of fellow pilgrims along the way, especially during times when God feels distant or confusing.
I want you, too, to see God’s goodness and lovingkindness at work in the midst of your life. I want you to know how much and how deeply God loves you, and that He will work all things together for your good. It’s okay to be unsure or struggling in your walk with God. Through the process of listening and noticing His presence together, I know that He will lead you into deeper understanding, healing and peace. I know this because I’ve seen it happen over and over again, in my own life and the lives of those with whom I work.
After obtaining a doctorate in psychology, I practiced alongside my husband as a licensed clinical psychologist for 20 years, specializing in adoption and trauma. During that time, our family dealt with some significant health issues that were unsolvable through traditional western medicine.
God used this experience to propel me into the world of alternative healthcare. During this time I gained training in several mind-body techniques, as well as knowledge regarding mind-body connections and holistic health. Surely we are fearfully and wonderfully made, just as the Bible says in Psalm 139:14. You can learn more about mind-body work here.
Eventually, God called me out of clinical psychology and led me to spiritual direction as a way to have a more holistic and Christ-centered practice. I am now grateful to be able to share the love of Jesus with my clients, along with the emotional, spiritual and physical healing only He can provide.

My absolute favorite thing is to see people set free to have a renewed relationship with the triune God, and to more fully express their unique gifts and abilities in His Kingdom. I would love to journey with you on your path as we learn to revel in God’s goodness together!
